A returning favorite to the Flying Cat, award-winning songwriter Dan Weber has been described as “The Classic Mid-Life Overnight Sensation.” An engaging performer with a gift for storytelling, he won the prestigious Winfield ‘NewSong’ contest for ‘Oh Woody’, his tribute to Woody Guthrie, and is a rare three-time finalist in the legendary Kerrville ‘New Folk’ competition. A former National Park Service Ranger, his songs have been described as “reminiscent of early John Prine” and “insightful and awfully funny.” Legendary Folk troubadour Ramblin’ Jack Elliott said “I love Dan’s songs and he tells really good stories.” Born in Rochester, NY, he now lives in Vancouver, WA, with his wife Diane.
